Some pages from a documentation about the concentration camp Auschwitz.
On 14th of june in 1940 arrived the first transport in Auschwitz. It were 728 polish prisoners from the Gestapo jail in Tarnow. It were politicians, jews, students, priests and members of the polish resistance. They were "welcomed" by the SS guards and the so called Kapos, which were german prisoners from the concentration camp Sachsenhausen. They were selected for this function in Auschwitz. Most of these Kapos were criminals and quite violent men. The brutal treatment of the polish prisoners should break their will from the very beginning.
